This service uses AI models to generate summaries, interpretations, and citations based on theological texts, including the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg, the Bible, and related philosophical materials.
By using this application, you acknowledge that:
- You are interacting with an AI system, not a human.
- AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of context.
- The service is intended strictly for educational and research purposes.
- It must not be used for medical, legal, psychological, financial, or other consequential decision-making.
This system is intended as a low-risk AI system under the EU AI Act. It is not designed or suitable for any high-risk or prohibited use case.
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ask Swedenborg application (“Service”) available at tuccio.de and operated by Matthew Tuccio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Purpose of the Service
The Service is an AI-assisted research tool designed to help users explore:
- The theological works of Emanuel Swedenborg
- The Bible
- Related philosophical interpretations
- Their relevance and implications for modern thought
The Service provides research navigation, contextual summaries, AI-generated citations, and workspace tools for organizing passages.
2. AI-Generated Content and Accuracy
- Responses are generated algorithmically and are not human-authored.
- Citations, summaries, and interpretations may contain inaccuracies.
- You must independently verify all important information using original sources.
- The Service is provided for educational purposes only.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content generated by the AI.
3. EU AI Act Compliance
This Service qualifies as a general-purpose, low-risk AI system. It does not fall into the high-risk categories defined in the EU AI Act.
- We clearly label that you are interacting with an AI system.
- We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects.
- We do not deploy the system in high-risk contexts.
You agree not to use or integrate the Service in high-risk AI contexts.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the GDPR-defined digital consent age in your jurisdiction) and capable of accepting these Terms.
5. Accounts (Google OAuth Only)
To access advanced features, you must sign in using Google OAuth. We receive your name, email, unique Google subject ID, and avatar URL. Your Google password is never shared with us.
6. User Data We Store
6.1 Account Data: google_sub, email, name, avatar_url, created_at, last_login.
6.2 Terms Metadata: tos_version, tos_accepted_at, tos_ip.
6.3 Workspace Artifacts: saved passages, notes, draft selections, research sessions/history, titles, snippets, timestamps.
6.4 Chat Session Metadata (Temporary): chat_token, rate-limit timestamps, pending message context.
6.5 Cookies: PHPSESSID only. No analytics or advertising cookies.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to bypass authentication, scrape or overload the system, misuse AI outputs, redistribute copyrighted texts improperly, or attempt high-risk AI uses. Violations may result in termination.
8. External Links & Third-Party Translations
The Service may display links to third-party resources (for example, New Christian Bible Study translations). These sites are not owned or controlled by us. We do not endorse or guarantee their accuracy, availability, or privacy practices. Visiting any external link is at your own risk. Always review the destination site’s terms and privacy policies.
9. Intellectual Property
Public domain texts remain public domain. AI-generated text is provided as-is. You retain ownership of your notes, saved passages, and drafts. Do not reproduce large portions of copyrighted material.
10. Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without liability.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may request account deletion at swedenborg_info@tuccio.de.
12. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is.” We disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Your sole remedy is to stop using the Service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. You will be prompted to accept updated Terms before continuing to use the Service.

2.1 Google OAuth Data: name, email, google_sub, avatar URL (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
2.2 Workspace Data: saved passages, notes, draft selections, research sessions/history (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
2.3 Technical Data: IP address, browser metadata, timestamps, PHP session ID, chat session metadata (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
2.4 No sensitive categories: We do not collect or process special categories of data.
3. How We Use Data
- Authenticate your account (Google OAuth).
- Store your workspace data (notes, drafts, saved passages).
- Provide AI-generated research responses.
- Prevent abuse and ensure security.
- Maintain your session state.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties.
4. Cookies
We use only PHPSESSID for login persistence. No tracking or marketing cookies.
5. Data Storage & Retention
- Account data is stored until you request deletion.
- Workspace data remains until deleted by you.
- Session metadata is temporary.
- Backups follow server retention policies.
6. Your Rights
You may access, correct, delete, or export your data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your Data Protection Authority. Contact swedenborg_info@tuccio.de.
7. Security
Protections include HTTPS, OAuth 2.0, encrypted databases, controlled hosting, and server-side rate limiting.
8. International Transfers
Data is stored on servers in the EU (Germany). No intentional transfers outside the EEA.
9. Changes to Policy
We may update this policy. Updates take effect when posted.
